The 12 Days of Xmas Challenge Day 9 - Snowmen

Hello everyone! Its Day 9 of the 12 Days of Xmas challenge (my second Xmas challenge for this year!), and the theme for today is Snowmen.

I couldn't wait to get started with this theme as I wanted to rework a mani that I did last year (when I hadn't been into nail art for very long!), and see if I had improved :) Typically I can't find the pictures on my laptop, but I'm sure I'll find them somewhere in the dark recesses of my Facebook page...

I started with 3 coats of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Deep Blue Sea (I think the shimmer gives the background a real snowy depth), and then added in an irregular, snowy French tip using LA Colors French White and highlighted with Color Club Sex Symbol. I painted on the snowmen using the French White, along with LA Colors Black Velvet, Sinful Colors Exotic Green and Barry M Gelly Passion Fruit. I added some extra falling snow and then finished with Seche Vite.

I have to say that I love these! And Scarlett (7), asked me to never take them off, which is always a positive as she's not shy in telling me when she doesn't like something... :/

I'm off now to try and dig out that photo from last year so I can add it to the post. I'll be back with my next post for this challenge with a Santa themed mani, so stay tuned and follow the links below to see a ton of other fabulous, festive nails :)

  1. Your little snowmen are so cute! And they look much better than mine =) I love the blue background, Deep Blue Sea was the perfect addition with it's shimmer.

  2. Ahh they are adorable! They'd look a little weird in summer though if you kept them on forever, haha. Fab =)
