I went for simple little Santa hats (and immediately wished that I didn't have square nails so that I could make them look more hat-like!), so I started with two coats of Sinful Colors Glass Pink and then painted French tips using Barry M Gelly Blood Orange, topped with Jessica Bedazzled. Next I added the extra length on one side to create the "Santa" effect. I then used LA Colors French White with a dotting tool to add the white trim to the hats, and finished with Seche Vite.
Unfortunately the red glitter doesn't show up as much as I would have liked in the pictures, but that'll teach me to switch to a different red glitter to the one I would normally use, just for the sake of novelty!
Since I did these, I've adapted it for Scarlett and several of her friends as its fairly quick to do and therefore works with younger attention spans! Here's a quick pic:
There are only two more days of this challenge left and I must say that its been a blast! The theme for Day 11 is Christmas Trees - I'm thinking more glitter! ;)
These are awesome, I love the idea of doing them as French tips =) Also love your little cute Santa face on Scarlett's nails! Fab!
ReplyDeleteP.S. More glitter is always the right choice ;)
Great job, I have never seen this style before. It's fun! Great polish choices too!
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute, and I love the Santa on Scarlett's nails. That glass pink is a great base! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat minds think alike! Although I like your version of the Santa hats much better than mine. And the Santa face on Scarlett's thumb is adorable.
ReplyDeleteThese are so nice! I used Blood Orange too.. it's a great red isn't it!
