Girly Girl Challenge Day 5 - Gotta Love Chick Flicks!

Hello and Happy Friday! We're back with the Girly Girl challenge and this week's theme is chick flicks. This was hard for me as I hate them. Totally. I like action, horror, anything as long as its not mushy, romantic slush. So I was stuck from the start... I decided to Google for inspiration and found a list of 100 chick flicks that apparently everyone needs to see - I'm proud to say that I've seen less than 10 (and most of those 10 involved me being dragged to the cinema by friends)! 

Anyway, in the end I decided to go for a classic, "Breakfast at Tiffanys". If nothing else I love their jewellery :D 

I started with a base of Sinful Colors Glass Pink, then went in with a chevron French of Color Club Take Me to Your Chateau on four fingers and full cover on my ring finger. I added gold detail to the French tip using Collection 2000 Hot Looks in Shimmy Shake and a Swarovski crystal. For the ring finger I painted the cross of the bow in Models Own Snow White, outlined it with Shimmy Shake and added a white bow to create a Tiffany box effect :)

I was so pleased with how these turned out - I'm actually in love with them. I'm so gutted that I can only keep them on for a couple of days before I have to paint for another challenge!!! 

The theme for next week is "Who Inspires You?" I've already picked out my person, but picking the design is going to be tricky. Research time!!!
