Erica's Nails & More November Challenge - Day 1

Hi all!

Today is the beginning of a new month and hopefully a more positive month on many levels! I am participating in a November challenge hosted by Erica at Erica's Nails & More. I had so much fun completing her 10 day challenge in September that I was really excited when I found out that she had planned another one so soon! The days are as follows:

So that makes today Rainbow Nails day!

I decided to go with the traditional rainbow colours but added an abstract twist by making each nail go in a different direction. I could at this point try and make a high brow philosophical reference to never being able to find the end of the rainbow but... ;)

I used a selection of Barry M Blackberry, Blood Orange and Satsuma, with Revlon Sassy, Models Own Feeling Blue and Rimmel Lasting Finish Sunshine.

As the weather has turned so cold I was really happy to get to use such bright colours! Admittedly its a bit "in your face" but I like it! :)

Polka dots next - I'm feeling more brights!!!

  1. I love this! I was going to do something similar, but I find the nail art brushes hard to work with (the ones that you can buy on eBay/amazon). They never come clean for me either :( This is so bright and cheerful!

    1. Thanks Erica! It took forever as I was using brushes, but really feel like I got the hang of it towards the end so hopefully I'll get quicker from now on! :)

    1. Thank you. As someone who is pretty much constantly wearing black I must say these colours really cheered me up in this rubbish cold, dark weather :)

  4. I love this! For mine I just used the regular nail polish brushes and it turned out super sloppy. :(

  5. Cute! Makes me think of the brightly-colored Twizzlers (I think I must be hungry!). Lovely job :-)
