33DC #10 - Flowers

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! I had a bit of a nail disaster this weekend and you will see from the photos that my nails are significantly shorter than they were last week. My middle and index fingernails are pretty much being held on by glue so I decided it was best to take the pressure off and shorten them as much as possible, while still keeping them long enough to accommodate some nail art!!!

Today I have my next 33DC mani for you and the prompt for today is flowers. I haven't done roses in a while and I wanted something bright and cheery on my little stumpy nails so I started with a nude base of the incorrectly named (in my opinion) LA Colors Lilac Frost. I then used Barry M Gellys in Papaya and Passion Fruit with LA Colors Red Carnation and French White to create the roses and Barry M Gelly in Key Lime and Sinful Colors Exotic Green for the leaves. I finished with a generous coat of Seche Vite.

So I cheered myself up with these nails as I realized that they still look pretty when they're all painted up, even if they are a little bit shorter!

Day 11 of the 33DC is 3D day. Time to get all those little pots of awesomeness out of my nail case and see what I can come up with :)
