Turquoise Gemstone nails

Hi everyone! I've managed to post two days running - go me! :/ I actually did these nails a few weeks ago, but this is the first time I found a few minutes to sort the photos and put the post together!

I'd been toying with the idea of doing these nails for some time. I adore Turquoise and have quite a collection of pendants and rings, so I thought it was about time that I tried to make my nails match!

I started with a base of LA Colors Seafoam which I then left to dry. Once it was completely dry I added random dots of Barry M Gelly Greenberry and went over those with a fine detail brush dipped in acetone to create a mottled effect. I then did the same again using LA Colors Gold Nugget and Black Velvet and finished with Seche Vite. Here's how they turned out:

I love how these turned out! Unfortunately the photos don't show the shift between the two greens as well as I would like, but you can see if you look closely! Also, please excuse the fact that my ring finger nail is barely hanging on by a thread thanks to ridiculous amounts of glue - really must cut them all back down to nothing and start again, but need to try and get ahead a bit first!!!

Now on to my August resolution - be more organised!!! Despite the fact that we are away for some of August and are planning a festival (including at least one live band) in our garden to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and Scarlett requires constant entertainment - I will be getting back to posting more regularly, and you're all welcome to deliver a cyber slap if I disappear again! Thanks for bearing with me everyone!
