This month, the Nail Challenge Collaborative have chosen flowers as our theme. I will be creating 4 sets of floral nails during July and linking up with all the other fab ladies - check the links at the bottom of the post to see everyone's flowers :)
For this first post, I started with a base of LA Colors Lilac Frost, a beautiful shimmery nude that gives full coverage in just two coats! Not many nude polishes can claim that! I then added in some long lupin-esque flowers by dotting on Color Club In The Limelight (a lovely periwinkle), Models Own Lilac Dream (a creamy lilac mauve), Jessica For Your Eyes Only (dark purple) and LA Colors French White. I then blended/marbled all the colours with the dotting tool to create the "fluffy" effect. Finally I added some stems and leaves using Barry M Gelly Paints Key Lime and Sinful Colors Exotic Green, and then topped it all off with Seche Vite.
II tried to go with a little bit of a wild flower feel for my first floral nails for July and I'm really happy with how they turned out. They are not a style I would usually paint as I tend to go for bold, bright designs, but I do like a challenge every now and again! ;)
Let me know what you think - I always love to hear from you all! And don't forget to check out all the other fab flowers :)
Very pretty!
