Erica's Nails and More November Challenge - Day 3

Hello again! Day 3 of the challenge and the theme is "Inspired by a tutorial". Since I started reading nail blogs, I've loved the blog of Kayla Shevonne. Her posts are great, her tutorials are clear with great photos and it was always a first stop for me when I was experimenting at the beginning :)

Although Halloween has passed I always find it hard to let go, so I've picked a Halloween-themed tutorial as my inspiration for today. As I was working on the Nailaween challenge all through October I didn't have a chance to try this out, so was really happy that this came up as an option for Erica's challenge.

I'm sure my lack of clean up on this mani isn't up to standard for some readers but personally I'm in it for the art and tbh I'm annoyed that I even feel the need to mention it, but anyhoo...

Here are my Cat Eye nails from a tutorial by Kayla Shevonne:

Here is a link to the tutorial I worked from. I also suggest that you take a look at the rest of her fab site while you're there ;)

Please also check out the links at the top of the post to see all the other great entries - the standard for this challenge has been really high so far - really proud of everyone involved :)

    1. Thanks! I'm looking for some glow in the dark polish so I can do this for a night out and creep people out in bars ;)

    2. Haha, that would be so cool! :) China Glaze has glow in the dark - Ghoulish Glow. I haven't tried it myself but apparently it's really good :)

  3. Love this Sam, you did a great job with it! Perfect for Hallowe'en for sure! :D
Love your "disclaimer" by the way :) We shouldn't have to apologize, but with everything going on, it really makes you feel like you have to, doesn't it :(

  4. I don't understand why you even feel the need to mention it your cuticles are perfect as far as I can tell even if there were jerks that were gonna say something there is absolutely nothing for them to say!

  5. Thank you! Its just me having my say. I've been on the receiving end of unnecessary (dare I say petty) criticism of my art in the past (not nail polish related), and although I'm resolutely staying out of this drama, I felt I should at least acknowledge it ;)
