NAILS Magazine 31 Day Challenge March - Emerald

Hello everyone! After thankfully seeing that back of February, today sees the start of March, and with it, the start of a new month in the NAILS Magazine 31DC. I have added a photo of the March prompts at the end of this post. If you'd like to join the challenge, the sharing hashtag is #31NAILS2014. One of the manis I did for the January challenge made it on to the cover of this month's NAIL Art Gallery magazine so I'm more than a little bit excited about that (I added a picture of that at the end too) :)

So we're starting March with "Emerald" and I felt like something sparkly. I started with a base of LA Colors Lilac Frost and then painted in freehand sections with Color Club Object of Envy. I outlined those with LA Colors Black Velvet and added accent dots before finishing with Seche Vite.






I didn't really intend them to look quite so bandana-like, but I do love the way these turned out. I've also didn't have time to censor the pictures to hide the damaged skin on my middle finger, but its been a week since I cut it now, and although its still not pretty, its not angry and its going to be there for a while, so you'll have to accept me as I am from now on lol!

    Can't really go wrong with emerald and sparkles! A great start to the challenge. I'm not joining in, but I'll have to keep tabs on it.

      Thanks! I'm trying to be a bit more involved again this month having missed most of February! I double up on prompts in places and miss a few that leave me uninspired, but its great for getting me to think outside the box a little more :)

      Thanks Shannon! To get the cover of Nail Art Gallery the same month I got an article in NAILS mag, its like I'm dreaming lol! I'll find you on IG and tag you in the prompts photo for March :)
