However as I didn't even hear about the challenge until the 6th, I've had quite a bit of catch up to do! But I'm there, and thought that rather than bombard you with a post for each one (as well as my other challenge manis!), I'd post a couple of quick catch ups...
The prompt for Day 1 was 2014. I decided to skip this one as I was 5 days too late, but there are some I did earlier here on the blog :)
For day 2 the prompt is "Favourite colour". I chose to feature my favourite colour of last year, Barry M Gelly Paints Guava. I then added some French white sections and polka dots using Color Club Pucci-licious and Barry M Gelly Paints Greenberry. I finished by separating the sections with LA Colors Metallic Silver and Seche Vite.
Day 3 brought us to "Matte" and I chose to recreate a favourite mani of mine from last year. I painted my nails black and then added two coats of Max Factor Fantasy Fire. Once dry, I added OPI matte top coat. Finally, I used Seche Vite to add some leopard print to let the fire shine through the matte. Simple but effective :)
Last but not least for this post is the prompt for Day 4, "Radiant Orchid". This is the Pantone colour for this year and I have a few polishes that are "almost". Typically an Orly arrived in the post this morning that would have been perfect, but it was a day late! Starting with a French White base, I painted sections of LA Colors Electra, Wisteria and Black Velvet and finished with Seche Vite to create this abstract mani.
This is my favourite so far - it reminds me of a Pucci print (never a bad thing as far as I am concerned) :)
And that is days 1-4 covered! I'll be following this one up with days 5-7 and then I'll be back on track with individual posts from today's mani onwards. Phew...
Sam xx
Wow, I can't believe you painted the Radiant Orchid mani - it looks flawless! xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Lisa! It was one of those rare manis where everything comes together :) xx
DeleteI can't decide which I love most. I think it's a tie between the leopard and the radiant orchid! So glad you shared these, they are gorgeous Sam!
ReplyDeleteThanks Alessandra! I felt a bit bad because there were three manis in here, but I really wanted to add the Radiant Orchid mani to the party - I've been totally overwhelmed by the response to that one! :)
ReplyDeleteHaha I'm not surprised, it is a truly beautiful mani. Maybe we will have to just start a massive blog hop like the holiday one and have only radiant orchid manis and swatches :)
DeleteSounds like a plan! I'm working on a matching pendant for these nails too :)
DeleteWhhhhatt?! I bet those will be so cool, can't wait to see them!
