33DC #12 - Pattern in your home!

Hello everyone! We are already at the end of the fourth week of the 33 Day Challenge! It is flying by, and the biggest surprise so far is that I am still coming in on time with the manis!!!

Today's nails are "inspired by a pattern in my home". I'm lucky in that my house is basically decorated in black and white with the odd accent colour and a generous helping of animal print. I didn't have any complex patterns or designs to be tempted by, so I was able to go with something simple. My lounge is quite minimalist, white walls, black leather furniture etc. The splash of colour comes from the fireplace and chimney breast which are painted in a super bright teal, and a zebra print tub chair, so I went with a combination of those as they make up the pattern elements in that room.

I painted my nails (apart from the accent nail) with two coats of Barry M Gelly Guava (probably my favourite colour this year). Then once they were dry, I added a white tip using LA Colors French White and zebra print using LA Colors Black Velvet, and did the same on my ring finger nail.

I like how these turned out, and they definitely match the style of the room.

I'm not sure how long I can sit here with my nails matching the room though, so onwards and upwards to the next manicure! :)

  1. If you sit in the room, I hope they can find you! Great job!

    1. Haha, thanks! I tried to hide from my husband and daughter so I wouldn't have to cook dinner, but they still found me...
