February Nail Art Challenge Day 4 - Inspired by a Pattern

Hello again! :) Day 4 and the theme today is "Inspired by a Pattern". I've been (not so) patiently waiting for today as I've been wanting to try this pattern for a while but decided to save it for this challenge. I've always loved camo (ever since my early teen years as an indie/metal kid when I basically lived in my combats and my camo jacket).

For the sake of the challenge I decided to go a bit more girlie with the colours so avoided the traditional greens and browns (although I have a fab Ciate Greige and Jessica Victorian Crush which will be perfect for the next time I have a go at this!).

This time I used a base of Color Club Oooooo La La and then painted the camo pattern on with Collection 2000 Hot Looks Siren and Go Retro!, and Barry M Black. Top coat of Seche Vite and it was done!

I was so glad that I saved this for the challenge and will definitely be doing more camo - I've got all sorts of colour combinations running around in my head now (99% of which will competely disappear from my brain when I actually next sit down to do some). I love that these challenges provide me with so much inspiration to take forward and make me think outside the box :) Next up - Valentines nails :)

  5. This turned out superb! I will have to keep this in mind to do for my dad - he's a hunter during deer season, so I'm sure he will appreciate it :) Now to just find a bright "hunter's orange" to go with it :)

    1. Ooh! Barry M Gelly Paints Satsuma is perfect hunters orange! I used it for some Jagermeister nails I did for someone a while back - super bright, yet a really deep, intense colour :)
