FingerFood's Theme Buffet Week 1 - Animal Print

Hello everyone! Today I have for you the first mani from FingerFood's Theme Buffet and the theme for the first week is animal print ( I had to pick a favourite to start with!).

Lots of you lovely people have joined the Facebook group to take part (thank you!), and it is never too late (you also don't have to take part every week!), just click on the group link above and join ussssss ;)

For this first mani, I started with a simple French using LA Colors Lilac Frost and French White. Once dry, I added some small leopard print detail down one side of each nail with a dotting tool using Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Jolie En Rose and LA Colors Black Velvet. To finish, I topped with Seche Vite.

I did something similar to this at the beginning of last year and am pleased to say that my skills have improved somewhat! This style is a little bit understated for me, but the bright pink picks it up nicely :)

Thank you in advance to all those participating, I look forward to seeing all of your fabulous creations on your blog and on the Pinterest board! :)

    1. Thanks Robin! You can't beat leopard print - I'd probably post at least one leopard mani a week if I didn't think it would bore everyone :)

    1. Thank you Justine! I did it over a French once while playing around and decided I liked it enough to do it properly! :)

    2. I totally agree. I love that peep of French showing through, but love that it's not so in your face. Great job Sam!

  3. I love this and it's great that it reflects your blog backgroud! (Or did you change it for this? I usually read your blog in Feedly, so don't get to see what the background looks like!)

    1. Thanks Claire! I think its just that my brain defaults to leopard print at any given opportunity as this has been the blog background since I started (and even when I considered a redesign I was going to keep leopard print!) :)

    1. I totally loved all that gorgeous, gold, in-your-face bling! Understated is overrated! ;)

  6. Your nails are beautiful! I am not a big fan of french manicures but yours has a nice color. I just noticed that your nails look similar to your blogs background :-)

    1. Thank you!!! I'm not a big fan of French manis either, but I think I was trying to prove to myself that leopard print can make anything better :)
