The Nail Challenge Collaborative presents "Inspired by Art" - #1 Mondrian

Hello everyone! Today I have the pleasure of offering you something that has nothing to do with Xmas (such a rare thing at the moment!) as I have my first December mani for the Nail Challenge Collaborative. Art has been chosen as our theme so today I have started with some Mondrian inspired nails.

I started with a base of LA Colors French White, and then painted in the black lines with a striping brush using LA Colors Black Velvet. Next I filled in sections with Rimmel Sunshine, Ciate Mistress and Barry M Gelly Blue Grape. Finally I went back over the black lines to tidy them up and then finished with Seche Vite.

I can tell now looking at these that painting your nails when you're not well isn't the greatest idea. I had the shivers at the time so the lines aren't my finest. But as long as you don't look too closely, I like the overall look!

I have three more art inspired manis heading your way this month. I've settled on my artists, now just to figure out how I'm going to make them work on nails!
