The NCC presents "Inspired by Summer" #2 and Upcoming Guest Posts!

Hello everyone! Today I have for you my second NCC mani for February, another one that is "Inspired by Summer". It was actually inspired by a top I saw a news presenter wearing on TV. I wasn't overly impressed with the design on the top but it struck me that it might look better on nails so I gave it a go :)

I started with a base of Color Club In the Limelight and waited for that to dry, I then painted in the flowers and surrounding detail in white. Once dry, I went over the white Using Barry M Raspberry and Color Club Yell-Oh! (both of which were tamed by the white underneath to give the shading effect), and then finished with Seche Vite.

I think that these work better on nails than on that top, but unfortunately Google isn't very helpful when searching for "garish top on BBC London presenter", so you'll have to trust me ;) Once I'd finished these I decided that they looked tropical enough for the summer theme, so here they are! They're super flowery and although not my usual kind of thing, I love the way the petals came out :)

In other news, its been a quieter few days here on the weather front, but we've been told to stay on alert for the water to rise again on Tuesday and my stash of nail pics is running low! Luckily, some awesome nail art friends have offered to help me out and put together some great guest posts which will give me some breathing space to catch up and get ahead again. The first one will be up tomorrow and I'll be posting a couple each week for the next few weeks. I am grateful to everyone that has come forward and can't wait for you to see their gorgeous nails!
